Library - FAQ

Is it okay to give it back, or do I have to find someone else?
Just giving it back is great, I know I like to re-read books and that probably goes for a lot of people. It's up to you. Maybe the person who gave you the book specifically asks you to either give it to someone else, or give it back (for example, because she had someone else in mind for the book, too).
Can I sell the book for profit on the used/secondary market?
Please don't. Just give it away, or let someone borrow it. If you paid money for a book that says it belongs to this Anarchist Library, try to talk to the person who sold it to you. We consider it abuse of this system. We can't do anything about it legally, so if it's a problem, just read the book, enjoy it, and give it away. It's a cliché, but two wrongs won't make a right.
How should the instruction look?
Sometimes it's just written with a pen (ballpoints are ok, but be careful to not tear the page), or you can make a fancy stamp. It doesn't matter. Just write »Ex libris the anarcholibrary, pass it on or http://handgranat.org/library«. Be careful with the book.
Ok, so I'm looking through a pile of books, maybe I'm at a friends house and looking in her bookshelf, and I find a book that points me here. What should I do?
Talk to her about it, maybe there's an interesting story, maybe there isn't. If you're interested in the book, say so.
Ok, so I've got another question, or something is unclear...
Ask away.
